We will be joining the Bluegrass section at Tony York’s restaurant for their famous Derby lunch. It’s suggested BUT not required to be in your Derby best to enjoy a wonderful lunch with our friends from the Bluegrass Stars chapter. Ladies, wear your favorite Derby hat and Gentlemen, don your dapper Derby dudes  - pastel shirts, socks, suspenders and your Panama straw hats! 

Our lunch menu will include the following entree selections; country ham, fried chicken, or meat loaf. Also included are delicious sides and cobbler for desert. The cost for lunch is $25 (plus tax, tip etc.).

If there is enough interest we will have a caravan drive from somewhere in Northern Kentucky. It’s about a 3 hour drive but well worth it!!!

Our November event will be another joint Chapter event! This time a trip to Joe Huber’s Family Farm and Restaurant in Starlight, Indiana on Saturday,  November 9th. Both Chapter members  will meet at the Restaurant at 1:15PM for a delicious and filling family style lunch.

We will have reserved seating and separate checks. 

After lunch we can drive right next door to Huber’s Winery and Orchard where we can enjoy a sampling of their wonderful wines in the Tasting Loft, visit the creamery for sweet treats, and the Farm Market and Bakery - there is something for everyone there! 

Bluegrass Stars will meet at the Restaurant at 1:15PM. The Cincinnati/N.KY/Dayton chapter will either caravan from Ft. Mitchell KY OR meet at the restaurant.

Join us on Saturday October 19th for a joint event with the Bluegrass Stars chapter. For the Cincinnati section, our day will start with a drive to our first destination, Old Friends Farm in Georgetown KY. The Bluegrass Stars section will meet up with us at the farm. We toured this farm years ago during one of our bourbon tour long weekends. It’s a beautiful location and we will have a guided tour of the farm . The tour will give us an opportunity to meet quite a few of the retired thoroughbred race horses. Old Friends Farm is an amazing organization that saves retired race horses from basically being relegated to a hard/miserable life after the financial and physical performances for their owners - Last time, the stories told about some of the horses and where they were rescued from were eye opening. The farm personnel (many are volunteers!) do amazing work for these horses so they can live out the retirement they deserve. After the farm tour we will proceed to our lunch venue, Fava’s Restaurant. It has been family owned since 1910 and is located in historic downtown Georgetown. For those interested in drinking responsibly, they do serve cans of beer and wine, they do not have a full bar.

Due to very low RSVP response we have decided to cancel the drive & tour of the museum.

Join us for a fun day that will include meeting up just north of Dayton Ohio for a drive in the country that will take us to the Bicycle Museum of America in New Bremen Ohio. This 2 story historic building holds quite a collection of bicycles that date back to at least the early 1800s and also includes examples from the 1900s and today. In addition to bicycles, they have a nice collection of advertising signs for various bicycle brands that also spans a long historical timeline.

So much to do, so much to see, so much to eat! That's what we will all think after we visit Over the Rhine and the Findlay Market in Cincinnati, Ohio on Saturday, July 13, at 10:00AM.

Findlay Market is Ohio's oldest continually operating public market, located just blocks from the historic downtown neighborhood of Over the Rhine. There are 50 merchants selling fresh produce, meat, fish, flowers, cheeses, and bakery items, plus an additional Farmers Market on Saturdays. Open from 10:00AM to 4:00PM, there is so much to see and buy - be sure to wear your walking shoes and bring your shopping totes!

Lunch is offered throughout the Market, but, we have open seating for 12:30PM in the Queen City Radio Bar for a rest between shopping. Lunch will be at the Lubecker, a food truck inside of the Queen City Radio Bar offering a variety of mouthwatering German dishes.

Guests will enjoy an impressive display of luxury jets, vintage aircraft and rare collector cars. This is a fun evening where you get very close views of many interesting vehicles. You might even get invited as you arrive to display your car on the tarmac with some other amazing interesting vehicles!

It’s a great way to see some amazing cars being driven while you drive your own car. This event is planned to end early enough so there will be plenty of time for you to also attend the Hangar party (another concours ticketed event) if you desire.

We will depart Newport KY for the one hour scenic drive along the Ohio river to our first destination, Maysville KY. In Maysville you will have the opportunity to visit the KSB Gateway Museum Center. Your admission to the Kentucky Gateway Museum Center includes entry to the KSB Miniatures Collection, the Regional History Museum, the Old Pogue Experience, and the Genealogical & Historical Research Library. The museum is a self guided tour. You can spend as much time as you want in the area(s) that interest you. We then head over to deSha’s for lunch in Maysville. After lunch we take a short drive to the Pogue Distillery for a tour. We will have a tour guide for the Pogue Distillery. NOTE: RSVP early if you want to get a place for the tour of Pogue Distillery. The Bluegrass Stars and the Cincinnati Sections will start the holiday season off with a drive through the Louisville Mega Cavern. Each year the Louisville Mega Cavern is transformed into an underground holiday light spectacular for the holiday season. Following the drive we will have lunch at the Audubon Country Club (NOTE: proper attire for the country club is business casual )

8:30 a.m. - DEPART from Kroger Ft. Mitchell Fuel store parking lot

10:30 am. - Tour Cavern - see link below to purchase vehicle ticket ($42.99)

Noon - Lunch @ Audubon Country Club (business casual attire) - you will be able to pay individually

1) Purchase your vehicle’s ticket for Louisville Mega Cavern (tickets are per vehicle, all passengers in the vehicle are covered by the vehicle ticket) ==> Louisville Mega Cavern - Lights Under Louisville

We will be meeting up with our friends from the bluegrass section in Midway Kentucky On Saturday, October 14 for lunch after a beautiful fall drive through Kentucky.   You can also enjoy a stroll down Main Street and visit some of the many shops in Midway after lunch.  More information on Midway —> www.meetmeinmidway.com

Our next event will be a send-off reception/open house for our president Austin McAnanly who will be leaving for college very soon.  Mark Smith, our event coordinator, and his partner Chris Ohmer will be hosting the event at their home in Maineville, Ohio - not far from where we had our spring dust off a few months ago.  Please come and wish Austin well and thank him for all his hard work for our club.   There will be plenty of parking on the street, in the drive, and on the circle drive in front of the home to show our cars, visit and enjoy some light snacks & refreshments.  This is a rain-or-shine event.
